What to Expect…
Whether looking to develop your skills and work your way through grades 1-8 or looking to have some fun learning the Drums, Dee Street Music Tuition has something for everyone. With our dedicated instrumental tutors for Drums, expertise is provided for the likes of Trinity and Rockschool Syllabuses if you are considering working through Performance Grades – all recognised qualifications by the SQA and integral parts of National to Advanced Higher Qualifications – or alternatively teaching learners songs and styles of their own preference for individual enjoyment.
All learners are welcome at Dee Street Music Tuition, and any individual or learning support needs can be facilitated in collaboration with the tutor[s].
Our Drum Tutor
Michael has played Drum Kit since the age of 9 and achieved his Grade 8 qualification by the age of 16. After this he studied Music at NESCOL and Aberdeen University, where he attained a Higher National Diploma in Music, a First Class UndergraduateĀ Degree with Honours in Music Composition, and a PostgraduateĀ Certificate in Music.
He is also a newly qualified Secondary School Music Teacher, bringing further expertise in education to his posting at Dee Street Music Tuition.
An initial assessment/trial period of two weeks (two lessons) is required for new starters with the aim to let both pupil and teacher gauge whether they are happy to continue with the commitment of lessons on a regular, weekly basis (aligned with Aberdeen public school term weeks.) The Trial Lessons are chargd at £12 each.
